Lake Shore Homes for Sale
The neighborhood of Lake Shore is known as a sub district of the Lakeview area. Lake Pontchartrain is found to the north with the New Basin Canal to the west and Bayou St. John to the east. The neighborhood is actually built on land that was reclaimed from Lake Pontchartrain and sometimes, this area is combined with Lake Vista and simply called Lakefront.
While the name may imply homes are built on the lake, they are actually separated from Lake Pontchartrain by a levee. However, the area is still very beautiful and many find it rather desirable.
